Block Battery is a long-time client who wanted a complete redesign of their website which services the broadcast/video/cine industry. In addition to refreshing the site layout and underlying architecture, our client was interested in a custom solution that would allow them to have their clients login to a special client area where they could submit, view, and ultimately pay for quotes on RMA’d products.
Our Solution
We completely redesigned the website to have the ability to showcase new items, and create visual links between the various products and the items that work with them as accessories.
Using custom development and some premium apps (ACF Pro/WSForm) we created a custom portal for the customers to register and login with. Once logged in they are able to submit RMA’s with a custom form that auto generates a RMA number, and once submitted a record is created in the dashboard with the information that client filled out. Block Battery is then able to login through the admin panel, and add their information to the RMA entry to keep the customer updated.
Block Battery can also use a custom quote form in the admin dashboard that generates a PDF Quote Form and sends it to the client while also adding a download link to the RMA entry that it is connected to. When the customer is ready to pay they simply login to their portal, select the RMA from a list of available unpaid items and pay online.
The new website is built within the Wordpress system to make updates easier and more accessible from anywhere. The new visual design incorporates Responsive design layouts for smart device viewing, which it did not allow for with the old website.
The website also has the Instagram feed of the company plugged in, which lets visitors see real-time applications of the batteries and related products.
The Result
The website upgrade has resulted in more clients using the contact form for requests, and ultimately using the portal to submit their RMA requests. The client has also been able to streamline their process to be more efficient, since all of the quote and payment processes are done through the website and they no longer have to manually send out payment requests manually and then re-enter the information when they get it back.
